QUICK STATS OF VEDPX

  • 31.40% of DPX circulating supply (around 64.0k) is currently locked locked at an average time of 3.06 years as veDPX and is earning 30.94% APY through our boosted veDPX farm.
  • PlutusDAO is continuing to climb the ladder with 52.83% share of all veDPX with a max locked DPX of over 25k or approximately 39% of all DPX staked in the vault.
  • veDPX will be more interesting as the Dopex product suite is rolled continuously.

#REALYIELD - GROWING DEMAND FOR ETH ATLANTIC STRADDLES

So far, ETH Atlantic straddles have seen 3 epochs and it has seen nothing but constant growth, epoch after epoch.

Let’s take a look at some numbers.

In each of the epochs, we have seen steady growth of TVL close to $400k with almost doubling of deposits each time the vault is redeployed. The vaults have also sold out all written ETH AS options in every epoch in record fashion time, as none of the vaults reached purchasing for more than 30 minutes. Due to the high demand of AS, the vaults have been generating constant real yield in the form of premium, which are distributed to all options writers.

So what can we take away from the first few AS epochs?

  • The current supply of ETH Atlantic Straddles does not meet the demand for the product exhibited by how fast the options are sold out, meaning that there is still lots of room for TVL to grow.
  • #Real Yield is possible with Atlantic Straddles (given that writers also hedge their positions)
  • Atlantics options present a new kind of DeFi derivative where you can hedge or leverage your positions.

LAUNCHING RDPX ATLANTIC STRADDLES

Team Dopex has been very responsive to the demands of the market for Atlantics Straddles, hence we are releasing another iteration in the form of rDPX Atlantic Straddles.

The rDPX Atlantic straddle will follow the same mechanism of the ETH Atlantic straddle.

  • USDC is deposited by rDPX AS option writers to essentially sell an rDPX ATM put.
  • USDC is used to buy rDPX AS options which is basically a rDPX ATM put and borrowing 50% of its collateral to swap for rDPX.

We have opened the deposits for the rDPX AS vault and will be closing it in a few hours to bootstrap the first epoch.
