INTRODUCING: THE DOPEX COMMUNITY NFTS

Dopex NFTs

Our Dopex NFTs launched a few days before Christmas and served as a fun experiment within the Dopex community. Both NFTs were gifted to our early backers and most active community members as a token of appreciation. The NFTs can be claimed here: https://app.dopex.io/nfts.

In the past week(s) these NFTs have taken off beyond the team’s imagination. We couldn’t have been more proud of how curious and passionate our community members are and how some of them have rallied around ‘their’ NFTs.

🌉 Bridgoor NFT

How it’s acquired: Community members were able to acquire this NFT by bridging within 48 hours to Arbitrum.

🎃 Halloween NFT

How it’s acquired: Community members were able to acquire this NFT by participating in the DopexGames around Halloween in 2021.

Community proposals

While it’s amazing to see communities (DAOs) being formed around both NFTs, the team was also taken aback by the development of wild/inaccurate speculation and hostility between the two NFT camps. This made us a little bit sad.. and while we support passion - we don’t think this went into the right direction.

We have carefully read proposals pushed forward by both camps and are amazed at the creativity and novel ideas that have come out of these proposals. However, as an ambitious decentralized options protocol with an enormous roadmap ahead (additional SSOVs, SSOV-p, stablecoin insurance, IROs, regular options trading, Atlantic options etc.) the core team has decided not to add more complexity at the moment through additional utility for either of the NFTs.

Implementations by the core team

While the DAOs are free to build out additional utility for these NFTs within their own community, Dopex core currently only has the capacity to support the following:

🌉 Bridgoor NFT

NFT type: Community benefitsUtility:

  1. Merchant (Merchandise airdrops): includes a voucher for a free item in our loldefi.com store.
  2. Agility (Discord Role unlocks): includes a unique discord role (granted via a verification application collab.land) and access to a locked channel. This role will give you early access to alpha from Dopex and early access to new products being rolled out.

🎃 Halloween NFT

NFT type: BoosterUtility:

  1. Strength (Farm boosting capability): farm boosting will increase the Halloween NFT holder’s farm reward allocation across all SSOVs they have deposits in. So for example: if they deposit their NFT in our boost contract - every SSOV would check if the address has a Halloween NFT deposited and increase their allocation in the total allocation with the pool. Total rewards given out aren't boosted - they simply receive a larger share of the rewards across all SSOVs they've deposited in.
  2. Lockpicking (Special access): whenever it’s applicable, it will give you a whitelist spot given to Dopex by partnering projects

The above mentioned utilities will be implemented in the following month with the exception of the ‘Strength’ utility. With our rDPX tokenomics being reworked, it’s not possible to give out absolute numbers/details regarding boosts. As a team we have the responsibility to think of the impact on the wider Dopex ecosystem and the complexity this adds to future plans. Therefore, exact details will be published after rDPX v2 is implemented.
